- Property address and Cook County Property Index Number (PIN)
- Photo identification (driver's license or state ID)
- Proof of residency documents (utility bills, bank statements)

- Referral source information
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, device information
- Pages visited, time spent, and interactions with our website
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies
Information from third parties:
- Public property records from Cook County (assessor, treasurer, recorder of deeds)
- Google Places API (address autocomplete)
2. Photo Identification & Document Processing
When you upload a photo ID, we use Google Document AI (optical character recognition) to extract your name, address, and date of birth for identity verification. The extracted text data is stored in our systems. We do not extract, store, or analyze facial geometry or other biometric identifiers from your photo ID. Your uploaded documents are stored securely in encrypted cloud storage and are accessible only to you and our authorized legal team.

4. Information Sharing
We share your information only with:
- Our partner law firm (Michael A. Yashar, PC) — to provide legal representation and file documents on your behalf
- Cook County government agencies — as required to process your property tax correction (Assessor's Office, Treasurer's Office)
- Service providers — cloud hosting (Supabase/AWS), document processing (Google Cloud), email delivery, and payment processing, each bound by data protection agreements
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted cloud storage, row-level security on database access, and access controls limiting who can view your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill our legal obligations. Case files and related documents are retained for a minimum of 7 years after case completion, as required by Illinois attorney record-keeping rules. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
